An engagement party got ugly after a cake arrived shaped like something that belonged in the toilet.

Party attendants and a disgruntled baker commented about a surprise cake that made a big stink in front of nearly 100 guests.

The New Zealand Herald reported on Jan 5 that the owner of Oh Cakes sent a creation shaped like feces to a customer after a social media spat back in December.

Micaela Harris’ sister decided to get an extra cake for an engagement party, but did not expect the cake they got.

Baker Emma McDonald claims that Harris’ sister only designated chocolate for the cake and left no clear instructions.

McDonald made the imitation sewage cake out of frustration and wrapped it without disclosing the contents to the customer.

The chocolate mound included a flag that read “Eat S**t!” in the middle.

"I think it was taken too far. As a business owner you come across customers you don't like but you have got to take the highs and the lows, got to suck it up,” Harris said according to

McDonald was unapologetic about the embarrassment that Harris said she caused. In fact, she claims the move was a harmless joke and that she was justified in her actions.

"I have no regrets at all about what I did. I feel she got what she deserved," she told the Herald.

She also claimed that the incident has brought more business to her bakery instead of deter people from facing the same fate.

Harris’ family had to order another cake from a different store to make up for the ugly one that nearly ruined the party.
