One Life to Live ended its 44 year run on ABC on Friday January 13, 2012. Fans of the soap walked away with mixed emotions. The final episode, narrated by the character Allison Perkins, may have created more questions than it answered.

Todd Manning (Roger Howarth), Blair Manning (Kassie DePavia), Starr Manning (Kristen Alderson) and John McBain (Michael Easton) will reprise their roles on ABC’s only remaining soap opera, General Hospital. They begin shooting scenes at the end of January.
How did One Life to Live end after 44 years?
- Jessica is Clint’s biological daughter
- Destiny gave birth to Matthew’s baby. Matthew decides to name their son Drew, after his deceased brother.
- Clint proposed to Viki and Viki accepted.
- Bo and Nora confessed their love for each other.
- Brody told Jessica he’s returning to the Navy. In an emotional good-bye, Brody told Jessica he will always be there for her.
- Cole returned for Starr with the news that both his father and mother are still alive.
- Todd and Blair made love.
- Todd was arrested by John McBain for the murder of Victor Lord, Jr.
- Victor Lord, Jr. was kidnapped by Allison and is alive and well.
Prospect Park, the company that bought the licensing rights to All My Children and One Life to Live, has continued to hold meetings and explore options to bring both long running ABC soaps to the internet. Prospect Park holds the digital rights to All My Children until September 2012, and for One Life to Live until January 2013. Despite the announcement that All My Children and One Life to Life would not make the transition to the internet, Prospect Park has continued to explore its options.
