If you have not yet pre-ordered a PS4 or Xbox One, time is running out but you will have one more opportunity to guarantee yourself a PS4 and Xbox One on launch day. On Aug. 16, it was revealed via NeoGAF that Walmart will begin taking in-store pre-orders for the PS4 and Xbox One very soon.

For those still looking to get a PS4 and Xbox One at launch day, Walmart will start taking in-store pre-orders on Saturday, Aug. 24. Customers will need to put a down payment of 10% of the total purchase – so, $40 for PS4 and $50 for Xbox One.

Walmart did this with the Nintendo Wii U last year, also.

With Gamescom around the corner, it is looking highly likely that we will get official release dates for the Xbox One and PS4 during the event. In fact, Sony confirmed today that they will discuss PS4 release plans during Gamescom – full story here.

Microsoft’s Xbox One is set for a Nov. launch in North America. Meanwhile, Sony’s PS4 is set for a holiday release with recent retail rumors suggesting a possible release during the week of Oct. 21 in North America.
