In this age of smartphones and tablets, the stylus has become an indispensable item in most gadget users tool box.
My only issue with using a stylus versus my finger when using my smartphone of iPad is you need a little more room and space to operate.
Some also say that you need a "perfect" environment to make the stylus work well- no sudden movements and a comfortable place to rest your palm.
Wacom, a company that has been making digital displays and tools artists, movie makers and content creators in general have been using for a long time now has released the latest in stylus technology- and you should take a look at it.
The brand new Intuos Creative Stylus is their pressure-sensitive and touch digital pen/stylus, perfect for writing, note-taking, sketching, drawing, or painting on your iPad of tablet device.
"iPad users are often on the lookout for new and improved tools that can offer an authentic experience," explained Hartmut Woerrlein, head of Global Product Management at Wacom. "We've had lots of customer requests for a pen solution that adapts pressure-sensitivity to the iPad."
This does just that.
Housed in brushed aluminum casing with two color choices – black and blue or black, the Creative slips easily into your hand and doesn't disappoint. Depending on what you need it to do, it can operate like a pen, brush, or marker.
The Creative is compatible with all of the apps you would expect, including Wacom's popular digital notebook app, Bamboo.
It also operates well while you are moving. This is the ideal stylus for use on that road trip- be it by car, bus, train or plane.
The included AAAA battery makes for days of constant use. The Creative also comes with a nice case that will hold your stylus, spare battery and two replacement nibs- very handy.
Woerrlein said this stylus called on all the experience and know how of Wacom developers.
"As the pioneer in pen technology, we've used our extensive experience to develop the Intuos Creative Stylus and we're excited to see what artists achieve with it."
This is the stylus that gets work done.
The Intuos Creative Stylus will cost $99 and will be available at the beginning of October.
