Mike Dickinson, the Virginia Democrat who wants the seat held by Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va., despite not being on the ballot, spent Monday morning calling Tea Party members terrorists and traitors on Twitter, while pining for the Civil War, a bloody conflict that pitted Americans against each other.
"Im (sic) proud of America. Our great military beat the first terrorists, the first traitors; the confederates," he began.
He then fantasized about living during the time of the Civil War.
"I wish everyday I had a chance to live in the time period of the civil war- I would have loved help to destroy the confederacy," he said.
He then called members of the Tea Party terrorists. He also claimed to be "leading the charge" against the Tea Party and Fox News.
"Instead I live in 2014- and instead of confederate terrorists we have tea party terrorists. Im (sic) leading the charge to destroy them and fox," he tweeted.
That tweet brought howls of laughter from one person who said that if Dickinson is leading the charge, he's doing so from the back of the pack. Another person said that if Dickinson is leading the charge, neither Fox nor the Tea Party have anything to worry about.
Dickinson, however, wasn't finished with his bloodthirsty fantasy of death and destruction.
Translation: If Dickinson could, he would shoot every member of the Tea Party, burn their homes and destroy their towns and cities while destroying the infrastructure.
This isn't the first time Dickinson expressed a desire to see political opponents killed. As we reported in April, Dickinson sought support from those who want to "decimate" Christians, members of the Tea Party, members of the NRA and those who watch Fox News.
"Said it proudly! Want to decimate the tea party, the NRA, bible thumpers, and Fox News zombies? Vote for me," he tweeted.
According to Dictionary.com, the word "decimate" means to "destroy a great number or proportion of." It can also mean "to select by lot and kill every tenth person of." In short, Dickinson expressed a desire to see ten percent of Christians, the NRA and the Tea Party killed. He also expressed a desire to see ten percent of Fox News' audience murdered.
Now, he celebrates Memorial Day -- a day set aside to remember those who gave their lives in service to the country -- by engaging in bloodthirsty fantasies where members of the Tea Party are killed.
