Jason Mesnick and girlfriend Molly Malaney recently appeared on Good Morning America to talk about their relationship, which is still going strong after the drama that unfolded on the season finale of The Bachelor.
After proposing to Melissa Rycroft and sending Molly home empty-handed, Jason had a change of heart. He later broke up with Melissa on TV and asked Molly if she'd give him a second chance to make their relationship work.
In the interview, Molly says she and Jason are still together and are "very happy." Though the two are dating long distance (she lives in Milwaukee and he's in Seattle with his son Tye).
"We're able to see each other every other weekend, if not every weekend," Molly says.
The two are exclusively dating one another, and Jason says, "I think if you take the whole show away from it, we've been dating for a little over 5 months, almost 6 months. And we're taking it at our own speed. Things are going great."
When asked of their plans to marry, Jason says, "Absolutely. Someday."
Molly says she was worried at first about the transition of dating someone with a child, but says it's been great. "Tye and I get along really well," she says. "We talk on the phone, we play together when I'm in town. The transition has been very easy."
When asked about the backlash he's suffered by breaking up with Melissa Rycroft on air, Jason changes the subject to his organization for single parents, Jason's Place.
