The 124th Tournament of Roses Parade was full of wonderful flowers and beautiful design. The traditional parade on Tuesday morning had the floats in Pasadena, California rolling, but the real stories were all about the people who attended the parade. When Army Sgt. First Class Eric Pazz met his wife and son, the crowd roared with enthusiasm as the military man surprised his family after coming home from duty.
Given a standing ovation by the crowd, Army Sgt. First Class Eric Pazz, his wife Miriam and son Eric Jr. met in the middle of Colorado Boulevard in what was a surprise reunion after Pazz came home from duty. The youngster ran across the street into his father’s arms as he recognized his dad and everyone was moved by the moment.
The wonderful reunion was part of the Natural Balance Pet Foods float. Miriam Pazz thought she won a contest to watch the parade with her son, but what she didn’t know is her husband would be there too. The soldier is a decorated military man who currently is serving in Afghanistan, but has also been to Iraq.
Sharing the holiday together, the Pazz family hopped on the float and waved to the fans for the 5-mile journey as a family. No doubt afterwards they all enjoyed the day together.
