Viagra: Keeps stems stiff and helps them last longer

Viagra has found a new purpose. Not only does it help to keep a penis erect, it can also help cut flowers. According to a report dated Feb. 15 from the Consumerist, Viagra can keep blooms from wilting.

Researchers learned that a one milligram dose of Viagra will keep cut flowers standing up straight for as long as a week longer than normal. The Viagra works on plants ripening just as it works on a men's penises. It slows down the breakdown of the enzyme that is found in plants and men.

“I have heard it all now,” Josie Welch, from Oklahoma City, said. “I don't doubt it. Why should Viagra only have one use? Of course, I had to laugh. This is too good to be true. I can't wait to tell my husband.”

All joking aside, those little blue pills can work wonders on both men and cut flowers. Based on the research by the British Journal of Medicine and the testimonies of millions of men (and women), Viagra may be the new drug of choice for Valentine's Day – for more than one reason.
