The “It’s Showtime” host and popular comedy actor Vhong Navarro thanked his supporters this afternoon, July 12, 2014 for their overflowing support. As you all know, the rape complaint filed by Deniece Cornejo at the Taguig Prosecutor’s Office has already been rejected, based on the resolution of the court, there was no rape took place in Jan. 17.

It can be remembered that Deniece Cornejo filed two rape charges against Vhong Navarro when the actor came out and revealed his experience in the hands of Cedric Lee and his men in the evening of Jan. 22. Based on Vhong’s affidavit, he was tortured, extorted and beaten up by Cedric Lee and seven others including Jed Fernandez, Ferdinand Guerrero, Zimmer Raz, JP Calma, Edgardo Sampana, Bernice Lee and Deniece Cornejo.

Cedric, Zimmer and Deniece are already in jail while the five others are still at large. Reports say JP Calma has managed to go out of the country despite the lookout bulletin issued by the DOJ. Anyway, the case is now moving and if possible, some of the accused will be punished if proven guilty. The dismissal of the second rape complaint filed by Deniece Cornejo at the Tagig Prosecutor’s Office is an indication that the Philippine Justice System is still alive contrary to some observers claim that it is already dead.

Vhong’s battle is not yet over because of the rape cases filed by Roxanne Cabanero and Vhong's co-artist in the defunct “Betty La Fea” which was aired on ABS-CBN several years ago. According to some observers; Roxanne and Vhong’s co-artist’s complaints have the same story. In their complaint affidavits, the two revealed that they were forced to perform oral sex in an SUV owned by the actor-TV host. Both of them claimed that they are not related to Deniece Cornejo but they confirmed that they were inspired by the part time actress-model’s complaint against Vhong Navarro.
