Oreo is hiding in a basket on top of a cabinet. Normally, Oreo would be socializing with the human species in the free-roaming orphanage, playful and loveable, or curled up with his brother, Shadow; they are an inseparable pair. However, Shadow is not well and is currently in a temporary foster home. Feeling blue, outgoing Oreo is alone by himself. Oreo does not know his loss and abandonment is short-term.
Stepping on a stool to access Oreo, King Street Cats volunteer, Allie Phillips, opens her arms and hands, soft and welcoming. Allie uses her gift of healing to relax and restore Oreo. Allie, a Certified Usui Reiki Master-Teacher, Certified Integrated Energy Therapy Master-Instructor, Practitioner Member of the Shelter Animal Reiki Association, and a certified Universal Law coach, Law of Attraction Counselor, combines Reiki, a Japanese healing technique, and Integrated Energy Therapy, an angelic healing energy to revive Oreo’s physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.
As Allie pulls healing energy through her, within minutes, Oreo’s head pops up; purring, he rubs his face on the side of the basket. Soon after, in the best condition to heal himself, Oreo’s whole body moves toward wholeness and harmony. Brought into attunement, Allie uses crystals to align the body and release negative energy blockages.
Whereas some crystals, for example Ruby and Emerald, have their own specific healing power, Clear Quartz and Amethyst, a violet shade of Quartz, are “Master Healers.” Allie removes an Amethyst and several pieces of Clear Quartz from her crystal healing bag. She places an Amethyst in Cupcakes’ basket nearby. Mounting the stool, Allie sets four Clear Quartz around the perimeter of Oreo’s basket points facing outward to remove energy.
Allowing the crystals to draw out blockages, Allie retrieves her collection of Green Hope Farm Flower Essences; each essence is a combination of flowers and marked for their specific use: anxiety, animal emergency care, outburst, abandonment and abuse. To rewire Oreo’s energy system, Allie gently squeezes a drop of Abandonment on her finger without allowing the dropper to touch her finger and lightly applies it on Oreo’s inner ear.
Allie visits King Street Cats one or two times a week. Allie says, “I spend most of my time in the isolation room for physical healing.” In the isolation room, Allie facilitates healing the injured and ill, neglected, abused, and traumatized felines who may initially cower in a corner of a kennel while they await clearance to join the social cat community.
In the open orphanage, a more natural environment, “I sit on the floor and see who comes to me. If a cat wants healing they will sniff my hand and move that part of their body toward me where healing is needed.” Allie explains, “I feel the imbalance.”
“Animals are natural healers,” says Allie, “and are very attuned to energy.” Their receptive relaxation response to Reiki, balances their life energies bringing wholeness and health, essential elements needed to prepare them for a permanent home.
Allie Phillips has volunteered for King Street Cats since March 2004. Manifested Harmony, LLC is her creation of a long-time dream to help people and animals achieve harmony, balance, and well-being.
