The energy from the USA hockey team was electrifying when the guys hit the ice on Thursday. Of course the showdown had American’s glued to the screen as the team put on a show with a 7-1 victory over Slovakia team in the Team Olympic opener. According to Fansided on Thursday Quick might be the goalie for the next game against Russia as questions linger on who will seen next for Team USA. While some fans were intensely watching the action, there were quite a few fans admiring Jonathan Quick’s goalie mask.

Each goalie of Team USA took time to carefully paint their headgear to offer a glimpse of American pride. For Jonathan Quick, the sides were made of armor and the back had a tribute to soldiers. As the goalie couldn't see it from the outside, the fans who were watching the hockey action could see the design every time the cameras focused on the goalie's moves.

Whether blocking a shot or talking to teammates, Jonathan Quick’s mask was in the camera shot and making Team USA proud. It’s one of those visual moments that congers up American pride when watching the Winter Games. Of course we want Team USA to win, but seeing the country’s colors proudly displayed offers a little bit more.
