Connecticut senior running back Martin Hyppolite's football future is in doubt after being involved in a fatal accident in New Hampshire Saturday. Hyppolite was a passenger in a vehicle involved in an accident that killed a 74-year old man driving another vehicle according to Durham, New Hampshire police.

According to The Hartford Courant, the extent of Hyppolite’s injuries is unknown, but he was listed in serious condition in the intensive-care unit at Portsmouth Regional Hospital Monday afternoon. UConn officials and the school's medical staff have been in contact with doctors treating Hyppolite. The latest reports say he is listed in critical condition.

Hyppolite missed the 2011 season with a knee injury but returned to the Huskies in 2012 as a back up. He rushed for 69 yards on 19 carries, boosted by a 50-yard touchdown run against Buffalo.
