Two alarm fire destroys Bustleton duplex (Photos)

A fast moving fire ripped through a duplex on the 9300 block of Jamison Ave. Saturday, March 9 just before noon. As first in fire companies arrived, they were greeted with heavy smoke and fire that quickly consumed both floors.

Fire Dept.officials said the duplex were actually apartments . Four of them suffered serious damage. Smoke from the fire spread to nearby homes. Fire Dept.crews were hampered by small,. narrow streets which prevented several fire trucks from getting into the scene.

Several ambulances were called for injured people.The conditions of the injured was not immediately known. The blaze quickly escalated to two alarms, however,the second alarm companies were recalled as they started arriving. The cause has not yet been determined.
