Twitter users call for assassination of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker

A video posted at The Blaze shows - once again - what passes for civil discourse among progressives, especially on the social networking site Twitter.

'lauren_2121' wrote "i hope scott walker dies.  someone please shoot him?!"

'McGee12' tweeted "Everyone say it with SCOTT WALKER MUST DIE"

User 'jritsynme' wrote "He is the devil and deserves 2 be shot!!!"

Many more similar messages are shown in the 1.5 minute video.

One of the most disturbing is a tweet by user 'J_Shack' who sent: "Scott walker cut food stamps its over he gettin assassinated..!"

After the Tucson shootings that left Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords fighting for her life, users on Twitter sent similar messages wishing for the death of Sarah Palin.

Very little coverage was given to this by the mainstream media, who was busy trying to blame the Tea Party, Glenn Beck, clip art and conservative speech for the tragic shootings.

From the beginning of the Wisconsin Insurrection, liberals have engaged in the very hateful rhetoric they claim comes only from the Tea Party, comparing Governor Scott Walker to Hitler and Mubarak.

Now, some feel they can call for the murder of a duly elected state official with no consequences, and chances are the mainstream media will likely ignore these messages.

No doubt, they would have an entirely different attitude if Governor Walker was a Democrat.

On Monday, the University of Arizona announced the opening of the "Institute for Civil Discourse."  Perhaps these twitter users should sign up for classes, along with certain cable news hosts.

I agree with the Patriots on Twitter who expressed their God given first amendment rights; something that Fuhrer Scott Walker has abolished in the State of Wisconsin.

You're an idiot. You really support murdering Gov. Walker? Are you freaking kidding? You do realize that communicating a threat on the internet is a felony, right?

  • all_liberal 1 year ago

Of course, these threats should never be - but there is a difference between a couple idiots saying these things on twitter (who knows where they come from, maybe plants from the t-party to make progressive look bad) and Beck and Palin saying it on National News!

    Tweets?? You're 'reporting' on tweets??

"Very little coverage was given to this by the mainstream media"

    But not you!

    It shows two things -

    1. The mindset of the average progressive (yes, I said it, and I believe it)
    2. The willingness of the hateful left to violate federal law.

They also did it to Sarah Palin. Maybe you don't care about this, but some of us do.

Killing a person is against liberal morals. People get upset when you take food, education and healthcare from their families. Some people on both sides do not know how to express it. Conservatives believe in chaos by signing gun rights for all to kill other people and then say, its the people who kill not the gun. Without the gun how do you shoot someone dead? Both sides are wrong and its time for independant middle ground polititions to be allowed to be on ballots during presidency elections to the point they are looked at like one of the other two crooks. The current balance in america formally known as united states of america, is based on two parties. Uppers and downers. Inflation and deflation. Good times and George Bush depressions. Low unemployment and dust bowl. This is bad policy for the US and if you have a passport and some currency from other countries I say good for you. You will need it if the republicans continue to be whiny crooked and thieving job killers. Steal from the poor and give to the rich. I know rich people who say, whooo hooo when they dont have to pay taxes and then the broke people have to give them their heart, soul and anyother body part that can be sold on blackmarkets.
