'Transformers: Fall of Cybertron' gets permanent double XP

Frequent double XP events are nothing new for multiplayer shooters and action games. High Moon Studios is taking it a step further with "Transformers: Fall of Cybertron" though by announcing Monday that double XP will be permanent for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC title.

"Fall of Cybertron players can now accelerate their multiplayer experience, indefinitely," a High Moon Studios rep wrote on the developer's blog. "The XP rate has been set to 2X. This is the perfect opportunity for new players to join the elite ranks or for experienced players to level up new classes."

"Transformers: Fall of Cybertron" was released for all platforms back in August and received decent reviews. The multiplayer component features Team Deathmatch, Conquest, Capture the Flag and Head Hunter modes with 10 maps available. There's also the co-op Escalation mode where four players must survive 15 waves of enemies.

Players can customize their Transformer across four classes including parts from the Dinobots and Decepticons.
