There is really no age limits on playing disc golf. You can start playing when you’re as young as 6 to 8 years old and you don’t have to quit until you can’t walk anymore.

Disc golf is the least costly of any sport that you can try. You can get the right equipment to play competitively for a very low cost. You can get discs from $6 up to $20 with the majority of the top discs in the $12 to $15 range.

Disc golf is good exercise and will help with your balance and coordination as well. Walking the average 18 hole disc golf course will cover around 2 miles, if you keep moving and throwing, you can burn a significant number of calories and even get a cardio workout in the process.

There is easy access to play in many areas. If you live in the Twin cities of Mpls. And St Paul, you have access to 100 courses within 50 miles of the center of the Twin cities. Not all areas have grown as fast as our area, but there are many areas that that are growing fast as well and Minnesota and have good courses to play.

There are many people starting to play all the time and many are looking for playing partners or just others who play disc golf that they can share stories and memories with. Most all the players I’ve met on the course are friendly and having a good time playing.

Disc golf is very easy to learn to play, the rules are simple and can be mastered quickly. The easiness of learning does not mean that you won’t be challenged as you play. It takes lots of practice and many hours of playing to get good as in most sports.
