The Star Spangled Radio Hour today welcomes Tommy Dorsey and his Orchestra for another appearance. They will open up with the stellar 1942 band featuring Frank Sinatra, Jo Stafford, the Pied Pipers, Ziggy Elman and Buddy Rich. TD and company will appear on their Blue Network Treasury Department program from Youngstown, Ohio with some solid sounds and great music including “Moonlight on the Ganges” and “Deep River.”

Not to be outdone the 1945 version of the Dorsey band will follow with an AFRS rebroadcast of a Blue Network Coca-Cola Spotlight Bands broadcast and more great music.

So again this week’s SSRH 179 delivers a healthy batch of good swing and some wonderful ballads and certainly top singers for your listening pleasure. You can locate us as always on the air at KEZW, Studio 1430, Denver, online at www.kezw.com and www.studio1430.com.

With the time change here in the USA they are on live at 6:00 p.m. MST (GMT-7) and, of course, streaming online for your listening convenience following the live broadcast.
