My grandma’s hangover cure was a Virgin Bloody Mary with lots of Worcester. That and a day of skiing ought to do it for you following last night’s Mile High implosion.
A word to the wise if you ski today or over the next few days: layer, layer, layer and use those foot and glove warmers. If you use those foot and glove warmers take them out first thing in the morning and expose them to the air for as long as you can before you use them. Trust me.
Oh, and keep any eye on your water. My CamelBak started leaking yesterday, turning part of my pants and jacket into a glacier. By the way, it wasn't the CamelBak's fault; I've been abusing this particular one all four seasons for almost 20 years (revealing more about my age than I care to admit). I found out that all CamelBak products are covered by Got Your Bak, CamelBak’s lifetime guarantee policy, so there you go, or there I go to get a new one.
Yesterday morning we said there would be some lingering snow across the high country. It never really materialized, and we don’t expect it will over the next few days even though the National Weather Service gives it a 50 percent chance today and tonight.
Whatever happens, it’s supposed to be dry for the next week. We could really use some more snow to get all the ski areas closer to 100 percent open, but there it is. So, following tomorrow morning’s terrain update, we’ll take a hiatus from the Report until it snows again and pass along news, events and other info from Colorado’s ski resorts.
In the meantime, here are the 24-hour, 48-hour and 72-hour totals, in that order, from Colorado’s ski areas…
