Feb. 5 is the date that Tim McGraw will unveil his much-anticipated debut album, "Two Lanes of Freedom," on the Big Machine label, with a string of celebratory performances and national-TV stops along the way.
According to a Jan. 28 missive from the artist's PR camp, in addition to announcing the release of his forthcoming CD, McGraw also will deliver a "Good Morning America" performance Feb. 1 from the Super Bowl in New Orleans. Then, he'll present a Feb. 2 performance via "Austin City Limits" before making a Feb. 3 stop on"CBS Sunday Morning."
Following the aforementioned performances, McGraw will then hit the West Coast to visit Feb. 5 with Ellen DeGeneres on her show before a special live-stream Ram Country on Yahoo! performance later that night aboard the USS Midway in San Diego at 7:30 p.m.(ET).
The next day, Feb. 6, he will be a guest on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," before wrapping up his TV rounds with a visit to "Chelsea Lately" on Feb. 11.
"On my last album, I was discovering some new sounds and new things that I wanted to do, scratching the surface of the direction I wanted to head," McGraw has said. And his upcoming 13-track record, he added, represents "a way to reach a little further back, to all that I'd done throughout my career, and bring both sides together — it's a combination of that discovery, along with some rediscovery."
