Tim McGraw’s ‘Highway Don’t Care’ honored at American Country Awards

The American Country Awards honored Tim McGraw’s song “Highway Don’t Care” three times over at the 2013 ceremony in Las Vegas on December 10. Tim McGraw’s collaboration with Taylor Swift and Keith Urban sent a powerful message of love, while the video drove home the message that texting and driving is a dangerous idea with very emotional consequences.

“Highway Don’t Care” earned the Song of the Year award, which is presented to the songwriters, and also the following honors:

Single of the Year: Vocal Collaboration

Music Video of the Year: Group or Collaboration

Tim McGraw’s has won a wide range of awards since his career began in the early 1990s, but “Highway Don’t Care” provided Tim McGraw’s first American Country Awards wins.
