Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn have finally come clean about their relationship, and apparently the professional golfer has also been straight up with Vonn about his romantic and sexual past, according to a March 19, 2013 US Magazine report.
Ironically, in 2010, just months after Woods was infamously outed by the media as a philanderer, Vonn, made fun of a press conference in which the golfer apologized for his indiscretions.
On Feb. 9, 2010, Time reported that Vonn publicly stated if she were asked to host “Saturday Night Live,” she would want to perform a skit with a mock press conference, saying, “Tiger, you’re like my idol, and I too have a sex problem… That would be freaking funny.”
During the same press event, Vonn was asked how the Woods incident might affect sports celebrity, to which she replied, “…I’m married… so I don’t have that problem… But um, I guess [Woods] is married too... I mean, I guess if you have secrets, you have an issue…” At the time, Vonn was married to her ski coach Thomas Vonn, and had been since 2007.
In just a few years, things have changed dramatically and a source now tells US that Woods and Vonn are a “happy couple” who are sharing their romance with the world.
The source said Woods has “…confessed everything in his past to her and stuff—they’re really into each other.”
In 2009, Woods' then-wife, Elin Nordegren, discovered the athlete was having an affair with Rachel Uchitel after he crashed his SUV into a tree on Thanksgiving. In the months that followed, a multitude of women surfaced claiming to have been a mistress of the renowned golfer.
Woods finally admitted his behavior and reportedly entered a rehab facility for sex addiction, but in the end, he was unable to salvage his marriage.
He and Nordegren divorced in 2010, while Vonn’s divorce from her husband was just finalized earlier this year.
