A third ship in Disney's fleet of cruise ships will soon be making its berth at Port Canaveral in Florida.
Starting in January, the Disney Magic will sail 3- and 4-night cruises from Port Canaveral. It will join the Disney Dream and the Disney Fantasy, which already offer cruises from 3- to 7-nights in length to the Caribbean and the Bahamas.
The first Port Canaveral trip for the Disney Magic will set sail (so to speak) on January 2nd.
To promote the new option, Disney is offering a vacation package that combines a three-night stay at a Walt Disney World Resort with a three-night cruise on the Disney Magic. (The Walt Disney World Resort is about an hour drive from Port Canaveral.)
Though the destinations of Disney Cruise Line's Port Canaveral ships varies (some go to the Bahamas, others to the Caribbean), they all include a stop at Castaway Cay, Disney's exclusive private island open only to Disney Cruise Line guests.
