‘Thief 4’ strong sexual content, nudity, and more detailed for PS4, Xbox One

The rating summary for Thief has been revealed by the Entertainment Software Rating Board. According to a product listing posted by the ESRB on Jan. 22, the upcoming PS4 and Xbox One title has been given a “Mature” rating due to blood, nudity, strong language, strong sexual content, use of drugs, and violence.

Thief is a first-person shooter in which players can use a variety of weapons like knives and swords to kill enemies. Killing enemies will cause a blood splatter effect during battle. Furthermore, corpses are regularly shown lying in pools of blood. Find the first part of the ESRB summary below:

This is a first-person shooter in which players assume the role of a thief attempting to defeat a conspiracy. Players sneak around guards and civilians in order to break into various buildings and steal items. Players sometimes use a blackjack to knock guards out. Throughout the game, characters use knives and swords to kill other human enemies. Blood splatter effects occur during battle. Corpses are frequently depicted, sometimes lying in pools of blood.

While exploring the game’s world, players will be able to roam a brothel environment where topless prostitutes are viewable. Likewise, the player has the ability to spy on couples engaging in sexual activity, complete with nudity and suggestive moaning. Drug use and swearing are also part of the dialogues. Thief 4 will be released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on Feb. 25 in North America. Thief is being by developed by Eidos Montreal and published by Square-Enix.
