Despite the fact that CD Project Red’s upcoming release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is launching solely on next-gen platforms and PC, it looks like the game will still likely cap at 30 frames per second. According to a report by Worlds Factory on Dec 21, head programmer Balazs Torok recently revealed the targeted framerate that the developer is aiming for while speaking to Italian website PC Gaming.
While the developer specified that the current plan is to keep The Witcher 3 running at a smooth 30 FPS, Torok stated that CD Projekt Red isn’t ready discuss what resolution the upcoming game might run at. Reasons given for a deciding not to go higher than 30 FPS were that the developer wanted to push the physics of the hardware further. As such, gamers can expect destructible environments and realistic cloth simulation inside the third installment of the popular role-playing series.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is scheduled to release in 2014 for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
