Mikolaj Szwed has commented about the romance and sex elements in his upcoming multiplatform video game, “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.” In an interview with Leviathyn on Sept. 26, the story and quest design producer revealed that the relationship structure will be similar to “The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.”
Although Mikolaj Szwed wasn’t willing to reveal any female party members that will be courted in “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt,” he did state that the romance and sex elements are going to be handled in a “mature way.” The story and quest design producer also mentioned that the relationship is done in a “natural flow” and won’t be linear. You can take a look at a batch of screenshots in the slideshow near the top of this article and his comments from the Leviathyn interview below:
We want to continue in the vein of TW2, though I can’t tell you anything specific about the female companions that will appear in The Witcher 3 yet. We want to shape the relationships Geralt will have with various women in a mature way, that the player can feel a natural flow to the relation and at the same time still have different choices on how to approach this or that specific character. The romances will definitely not be linear.
Geralt of Rivia will be returning as the main character in “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.” In the aforementioned “The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings,” he was able to romance multiple female characters including Triss Merigold.
Mikolaj Szwed and several other members of the development team at the CD Projekt Red is currently developing the third main “The Witcher” installment for the PC platform in addition to the PS4 and Xbox One next-generation systems.
