Amazon revealed price drops on a slew of downloadable PC games Tuesday including "The Walking Dead", "Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition", "Battlefield 3: Premium Edition", "Far Cry 3", "Hotline Miami" and many more. These are all part of a 2012 Editor's Choice Games promotion.

The promotion runs through the month of January and has a total of 34 games listed as the best PC games from last year. Not all are on sale but most do have a discounts from 25 percent to 75 percent off their regular price.

Those that purchased a downloadable PC game from Amazon in December should have a $5 credit code in your email inbox that can be used to further bring the price down. In case you didn't know, that credit expires after Jan. 31.

There are also some downloadable PC not listed in the 2012 Editor's Choice Games list that the $5 credit is currently good on. This includes the likes of the "Kingdoms of Amalur Complete Bundle" and the "Sims 3 Starter Pack" that comes with the game and five expansion packs for 70 percent off the total price.

Update 1: It looks like we'll need to keep an eye on the prices as a couple have already changed since we posted this article. "Max Payne 3" fell to $14.99 and "Far Cry 3" lost its sale price.
