The ten countries that hate the United States the most

As Gallup, Rasmussen, and a host of other pollsters inundate Americans with data that tells us how much politicians and their policies are liked or disliked across the nation, 24/7 Wall Street stepped outside of the global box and came up with some interesting data regarding the degree to which the United States is hated by countries throughout the world. On Wednesday, with extensive data and reasoned-summations for the countries chosen, a list of the ten countries that hate the United States the most was developed, citing the latest United States-Global Leadership Project which is data that was devised by the partnering of Meridian International Center and Gallup.

As much as sources strongly asserted that the globe really liked United States’ President Barack Obama when he was first elected in 2008 – and furthermore, approved of his campaigned-policies - opinions have drastically changed with 25 percent of foreign citizens surveyed in 130 foreign countries now disapproving of President Obama and his administration.

Survey results be told, in a vast group of 130 countries surveyed, one out of every four countries disapprove of President Obama’s administration’s job performance. Seven of those countries that are extremely dissatisfied with the United States give the Obama administration disapprove at the rate of 60 percent or higher.

As one might assume, most of the disapproving countries are located in the Middle East.

The Countries that Hate the United States the Most

  1. Pakistan – 79 percent of surveyed-citizens disapprove of leadership in the United States
  2. Palestinian Territories – 77 percent of surveyed-citizens disapprove of leadership in the United States
  3. Algeria – 67 percent of surveyed-citizens disapprove of leadership in the United States
  4. Lebanon – 64 percent of surveyed-citizens disapprove of leadership in the United States
  5. Egypt – 62 percent of surveyed-citizens disapprove of leadership in the United States
  6. Iran – 61 percent of surveyed-citizens disapprove of leadership in the United States
  7. Iraq – 60 percent of surveyed-citizens disapprove of leadership in the United States
  8. Yemen – 59 percent of surveyed-citizens disapprove of leadership in the United States
  9. tie: Greece - 57 percent of surveyed-citizens disapprove of leadership in the United States
  10. tie: Serbia – 57 percent of surveyed-citizens disapprove of leadership in the United States

Number one-ranked Pakistan rose 30 percent in the past year, having had a 49 percent disapproval rating of the United States’ leadership prior Gallup poll responses in 2011. Respondents strongly suggested that the tremendous increase in disapproval of the Obama administration had to do with American drone strikes as well as the online release of the anti-Islamic film produced in the United States. Additionally, relations between Pakistan and the United States were challenged when the United States found and killed al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden within Pakistan’s borders – when Pakistan had said that bin Laden was not in the country.
