The Grammy-winning Oak Ridge Boys are among those taking part in this weekend's Fourth Annual MCA Music at the Mill, 300 North Maple St., in nearby Lebanon.
The benefit show sponsored by McClain Christian Academy will get under way at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, and in addition to country favorites the Oaks, the bill also includes Michael W. Smith, Ricky Skaggs, Ray Stevens, Sal Gonzalez, Deborah Allen and Rachel Bradshaw, daughter of an NFL living legend, Terry Bradshaw.
“The Oak Ridge Boys are honored to join the amazing acts for this year’s MCA Music at the Mill," shared lead singer Duane Allen in a Jan. 31 correspondence with Examiner.com. " We are supporters of our number one natural resource, our children. The Oaks give back from the success we have had to help children have a place to get a great education. ..."
Proceeds from the show will benefit the nonprofit McClain Christian Academy. Per the Oaks' PR camp, the performance is just one of many appearances and special events planned during the 40th anniversary celebration for the award-winning Oak Ridge Boys.
“We are excited beyond measure in having The Oak Ridge Boys perform at The Mill," shared McClain Christian Academy Headmaster Charles Poston. "The intent of McClain Christian Academy is to prepare the young minds of all its students for leadership and to prepare their hearts for service. It is committed to being an innovator in education, creating a Christ-centered environment where knowledge, understanding and wisdom prepare its students to live a life of success, honor and service,”
