After Gearbox Software teased a DLC add-on for the sixth playable character class for “Borderlands 2,” many gamers wondered if the new Vault Hunter would be included as part of the game’s current Season Pass offering. The developer removed any confusion, however, when they informed Joystiq yesterday that the DLC pack’s playable character will certainly not be included as part of the game's Season Pass.
This follows what Gearbox Software has said in the past. The developer has long stood by the statements that any new character classes or level-cap increase DLC add-ons would exist outside the “Borderlands 2” Season Pass.
It’s also worth noting that no “Borderlands 2” DLC to date has been announced long before its release, so gamers likely won’t have to wait long to get their hands on the new character class now that the DLC has been officially teased.
“Borderlands 2“ is out now on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC/Mac.
