'The Mortal Instruments' takes home several Canadian Screen Awards

Sunday night "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" dominated at the annual Canadian Screen Awards taking home five awards including: visual effects, make-p, overall sound, and sound editing.

The film also won the Cineplex Golden Reel, an award presented to the Canadian film that earns the highest domestic box office in that year. The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones grossed over $5.2 million in Canada in 2013; this is producer Don Carmody's eighth Cineplex Golden Reel Award. (via The Sudberry Star)

This is a great accomplishment for the film, who's fans are still awaiting news on the sequel and franchise future. Congratulations to everyone who worked on "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" based on book one of Cassandra Clare's Internationally popular Mortal Instruments series.
