During a joint appearance at Monkees Convention 2014 March 15, Monkees Micky Dolenz, Peter Tork and Mike Nesmith announced they will be touring again this summer.

“Why don't we do a tour?” Micky Dolenz told the cheering crowd. “Why don't we do a tour in the middle of May?”

Dolenz said the tour would start in New Hampshire and cover stops on the East Coast and Midwest and run about three or four weeks. A full tour itinerary has not been officially released, but one show from the tour has already been promoted on the internet for May 28 at the Palace Theatre in Greensburg, PA. Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. March 20, according to

“Does that sound like a good idea?” Dolenz asked again. “We're doing it. We are touring.”

“See you guys on the road,” Tork said as the group left the stage.

Update: As of late March 15, Ticketmaster is listing three more dates: May 25 at the Paramount in Huntington, N.Y., June 4 at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City, MO., and June 7 at the Hard Rock Casino Northfield Park Hard Rock Live in Northfield, Ohio.
