THE DISCONCERTING THING I SAW ON HANNITY STUDENT PANEL
Friday as I watched the panel of college students on #Sean #Hannity’s TV show, I noticed something very disturbing. While we may indeed have a lot of sharp kids going to colleges these days, it is obvious that something else has already happened. When it comes to gay marriage and homosexuality and some other social ideas, the young people feel like they must be treated the same. Same sex must be treated, for instance, as equal to opposite sex relationships; likewise they seem to have bought into the idea that Government and the Bible has nothing in common. Meaning, nothing in the Bible may be used to teach men about law. This last statement must be true in order for them to believe what the over whelming majority supported.
This is the EXACT opposite of what the early founders believed. Although they believed that church and state authority and operation needed to be separate, they still believed that it was The Law of Moses and the teachings of Christ as well as his Apostles that established the basis for all right laws.
What seems to be a continuing trend is the teaching that all laws should be secularly derived. Therein is the FATAL ERROR. It is also the foundation for Christian Persecution. Think about it, there are only two basic world views from which to reason, the concept that there is a God or not. Our society and educational systems have just about destroyed the idea that the concept of God even makes sense. It has caused our teachers students, lawmaker and judges to consider secular understandings only in judicial matters. That fatal flaw is revealed by the fact that once this is done, your laws can end up literally any place. You can start forcing Christians to violate their conscious morals, fine them or eventually put them to death for not obeying. One young person said and many agreed. That unless Republicans comply to the new reality, they may never win a national election again. Many of the Republican elites obviously believe this. They like the overwhelming majority of democrats would sell their souls for votes.
What they should be doing is articulating how the lawmakers and courts move towards popular secularism only is destructive to our society and our government. Should it be up to courts and lawmakers to tell you that God did not exist? What if he does exist, how would you be helping the country or anybody by promoting things that God says are wrong? What the founders did, as I pointed out in an open letter to #Bill #O’Reilly, was to find the best way to bring harmony to the believers and none believer alike, via the Constitution. Almost no one seems to understand what they did. Articulating that original vision of the founders, showing how it makes all equal. Allowing each person to live the life of their choice before Nature’s God, by adhering to the formula, Revelation = nature = science; refusing to get government to establish either revelation or secular humanism as religion is the way to make peace.
If someone had asked these kids if they thought it was right to establish the religion of secular humanism, to force the great, great grand kids of people who came for religious freedom into slavery of consciousness, I think Hannity would have gotten a different response. If someone had told these kids that the formula laid out by the founders did not allow government to declare what cannot be proven in science as a right, forcing others to comply, I think they would have seen this differently. It is time people who understand the matter begin to explain to the country where we are going constitutionally astray in the most fundamental way possible. They could give examples of how the way of the founders makes for peace when followed. Their ideas are lying there waiting for those of understanding to return to the old landmark.
