Stories of an affair between Vera Baker and Barack Obama have been running rampant all over the internet for the past few days.
The rumor, not a new one, has been resurrected, and the Vera Baker – Barack Obama cheating scandal has taken on a life of its own.
Is there any truth to this rumor?

Who is Vera Baker?
Vera Baker was a member of Barack Obama’s campaign team when he was running for the Senate.
Previously, Baker served as the National Finance Director on Senator Barack Obama's 2004 Senate Campaign.
Baker also served as the Deputy Political Director at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign committee.
She was a major fundraiser, responsible for raising millions of dollars for Obama’s campaign.
Her organization was the top fundraising firm during the 2004 elections.
Vera Baker was also listed as the CEO of Baker Wanbu & Associates, which is no longer in business.
How did Vera Baker and Barack Obama become involved?
Obama became close to Vera Baker when she worked on the fundraising campaign to get him elected to the Senate. Baker was responsible for raising millions of dollars in campaign contributions.
Where is Vera Baker now?
Vera Baker is said to be currently residing on the Caribbean island of Martinique.
However, there are conflicting accounts as to how Baker came to be there.
One popular rumor has it that Vera Baker was removed from her duties when Michelle Obama discovered what was going on, and demanded that Baker be banished to Martinique.
What does Vera Baker have to say in her own behalf?
Two years ago, when the rumor first surfaced, Vera Baker, who was 33 at the time, emphatically stated that “Nothing happened” between herself and Barack Obama.
This time, Vera Baker has retained an attorney retained to help her counter the rumors that she was once Obama’s mistress, which she says are “absolutely false.”
How did the rumor about the Barack Obama - Vera Baker cheating scandal start?
A Swiss newspaper, Le Matin has resurrected an old rumor that’s been around since 2008.
The National Enquirer is actively investigating the rumored Barack Obama - Vera Baker affair
What exactly is supposed to have happened between Barack Obama and Vera Baker, and when did it occur?
Rumor has it that on the night of May 18, 2004, Vera Baker was dropped off at a DC hotel by a limo driver, where she allegedly spent the night with Barack Obama.
What proof is there that Obama and Baker had an affair?
None that we have seen thus far.
Reportedly, there are videos of Obama in compromising positions with Vera Baker, but no one has seen them yet
There are also unsubstantiated reports that a team of software engineers have found incriminating e-mail exchanges between Obama and Vera Baker. Again, no one has seen them yet.
An unnamed National Enquirer reporter is said to have confirmed with the limo driver that he did, in fact, drop Vera Baker off at Barack Obama’s hotel on the date in question, adding that he waited in the lobby while Baker changed her clothes upstairs.
ABC News and NBC News reportedly interviewed the limo driver at the time, who verified his account of what occurred.

There is currently a reward of $1, 000,000 being offered to anyone who can confirm that an affair between Barack Obama and Vera Baker actually occurred. It’s not unheard of for people to lie when large sums of money are involved, but I find it interesting that so far no one has come forward with solid proof.
Bottom Line
Is there any truth to the rumor about Barack Obama and Vera Baker having an affair?
I think it’s significant that NONE of the major news outlets (The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, CNN, Fox News, ABC, NBC, etc) have chosen to even dignify this rumor by reporting on it.
I think it’s also significant that when ABC and NBC checked out this rumor in 2008, they chose not to pursue it any further, and let the matter drop.
The facts that have been uncovered thus far are definitely NOT proof that Vera Baker was Obama’s mistress, or that an affair between Barack Obama and Vera Baker ever occurred.
If Vera Baker was a key person on Obama’s campaign team, there were probably legitimate reasons why she was taken to his hotel.
Until more substantial proof is actually presented for the public to see, I think we can safely assume that the rumor of a Vera Baker – Barack Obama affair is just that – a rumor and nothing more.

Nothing would surprise me NOTHING he just had enough money to hush her and send her to another Country somewhere he watched other men and women in politics go down in flames and he didn't to be one of them.
I am not surprised in the least that Sortoro's wife would do that to anyone that fulled with her husband not in the least because she simply wouldn't allow it. When I look at her she makes the hair on the back of neck raise because I know she is hiding something and she has total control over everything.
So all of this doesn't surprise me in the least and that is a fact.
I would not consider proof of this being untrue based on the New York Times not printing the story!
The New York Times would not do that without permission from the Whitehouse, in writting and hand delivered by Obama in person!
Obama also cheated on his wife with Larry Sinclair and Donald Young. Both in the late 90's.

I mean look at all the other Politicians who have messed up on their wives and somehow they always got caught. So if he did something (which I seriously doubt)it will eventually come out. Just how "significant"? As "significant" as when these news outlets chose not to "dignify" the initial rumors about the Edwards-Hunter affair?

The fact that Sinclair was actually arrested when he tried to give a press conference and tell his story, is very telling to me. I have no idea if Obama is a serial adulter or not, but as libs have claimed about Herman Cain...where there is smoke there is fire.

The Enquirer's had this story for 20 months. They had the limo driver's testimony, as did others, but couldn't confirm his story. That's probably why the others you listed didn't report it.
Has the Enquirer found someone to confirm? They reported that they have. A good guess might be that if they haven't reported the story for 20 months because they couldn't confirm and now they say they can.
Otherwise, they would have reported the story in Fall 200
Scandals aside: I'm a little annoyed with "journalists" referring our president as merely "Barack Obama" or just "Obama" as if he's just another man. Even senators get the courtesy of their title. Can we start referring to this man as "President Obama" PLEASE? He is PRESIDENT OBAMA.

I believe Obama had affairs--if not with this woman, with many, many others. He does not strike me as a man who has any morals. He strikes me as an extreme narcissist who will quench any of his needs (sex, money, fame) in any way he can. For anyone who says "so what, he had an affair, it doesn't impact his being president day to day", I say, if he can lie about stuff like that, what else can he lie about?
I don't follow very many news sites, but I don't think the fact that none of the big ones have gone anywhere with this story proves anything. Especially since the National Enquirer was willing to go after and proved that John Edwards was having an affair when no one else would.
