Who is Vera Baker?
Vera Baker was a member of Barack Obama’s campaign team when he ran for the Senate.
Previously, Vera Baker served as the National Finance Director on Senator Barack Obama's 2004 Senate Campaign.
Baker also served as the Deputy Political Director at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign committee.
Vera Baker was a major fundraiser, who was responsible for raising millions of dollars for Obama’s campaign.
During the 2004 elections, Baker’s organization was the top fundraising firm.
Vera Baker was also listed as the CEO of Baker Wanbu & Associates, which is no longer in business.
How did Vera Baker and Barack Obama become involved?
Barack Obama became close to Vera Baker when she worked on the fundraising campaign to get Obama elected to the Senate. Baker was instrumental in raising millions of dollars in campaign contributions.
Where is Vera Baker now and what does she have to say in her own behalf?
Vera Baker is said to be currently residing on the island of Martinique.
There are a number of conflicting accounts as to how Baker came to be in the Caribbean.

When the rumor first surfaced in 2008, Vera Baker, who was 33 at the time, stated emphatically that “Nothing happened” between herself and Barack Obama.
When the rumor resurfaced, Baker retained an attorney to help her counter the rumors about her having been Obama’s mistress, and she restated that the rumors were “absolutely false.”
How did the rumor about the Barack Obama - Vera Baker cheating scandal start?
Last year (2010), a Swiss newspaper, Le Matin resurrected the Baker Obama rumor, which had been around since 2008.
In May 2010, the National Enquirer launched an activeinvestigation of the alleged Barack Obama - Vera Baker affair. Nothing further was heard.
What exactly is supposed to have happened between Barack Obama and Vera Baker, and when did it occur?
Rumor has it that on the night of May 18, 2004, Vera Baker was dropped off at a DC hotel by a limo driver, where she allegedly spent the night with Barack Obama.
What proof is there that President Obama and Vera Baker had an affair?
There are is no concrete proof of the alleged Obama – Baker affair that has been submitted thus far.
Reportedly, there were videos of Obama in compromising positions with Vera Baker, but no one has seen these alleged videos yet.
There were also reports that a team of software engineers found incriminating e-mail exchanges between Obama and Vera Baker. But these e-mails have yet to be seen.
A reporter from the National Enquirer reporter is said to have confirmed with the limo driver that he did, in fact, drop Vera Baker off at Barack Obama’s hotel on the date in question, and waited in the lobby while Baker went upstairs and changed her clothes.
ABC News and NBC News reportedly interviewed the limo driver and verified his account of what occurred.

There was a $1, 000,000 reward offered to anyone who could confirm that an affair between Barack Obama and Vera Baker actually occurred. Although it’s common for people to lie when large sums of money are involved, but it’s interesting to note that no one has yet come forward with any solid proof. Yet the rumor continues to resurface every few months.
BOTTOM LINE - Is there any truth to the rumor about Barack Obama and Vera Baker having an affair?
It’s worth noting thatNONE of the mainstream media (The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, CNN, Fox News, ABC, NBC, etc) have chosen to even dignify this rumor or embarrass themselves, by reporting on it.
It’s also significant that when ABC and NBC first checked out this rumor in 2008, their search turned up nothing substantial, so they declined to pursue the matter any further.
The facts that have been uncovered DO NOT prove that Vera Baker was President Obama’s mistress, or that anything other than a business relationship ever existed between the two.
Since Vera Baker was a key person on Obama’s campaign team, there were probably legitimate reasons for her to be taken to Obama’s hotel.
Unless more substantial proof is presented for the public to see, we can conclude that the rumor of a Vera Baker – Barack Obama affair is just that – a rumor and nothing more.
