It will be warm, summer weather for the 26th Annual Taste of Saugatuck as it convenes over a dozen local culinary artisans and restaurants for your sampling pleasure. The event is Sunday, August 25 from noon until 7 pm at Wick's Park and Water Street in downtown Saugatuck.
Some of the restaurants joining Taste this year include:
- Mermaid Bar & Grill, featuring Taste popular Margarita Chicken, Jumbo Shrimp Tacos, Coconut Cream Pies and more
- The White House Bistro, with new exciting dishes from the new owners
- Kilwin's Chocolates treat your sweet tooth with ice cream in waffle cone dishes, chocolate covered strawberries, and their very popular Caramel Apples

- Spectators Sports Bar and Grill
- Earl's Farm Market
- WhatNot Inn
Don't miss the beer tent featuring microbrews from the Saugatuck Brewing Company along with wine from local wineries, Fenn Valley and Tabor Hill.
Briung the little nibblers for a special kids corner and everyone loves the schadenfreude of the "Celebrity Dunk Tank." There is no general admission charge and food and beverage tickets are available in one dollar increments. UNlike SOME city's Taste event, the Michigan Taste is affordable - no single taste item is more than $5.
Taste of Saugatuck, sponsored by the Saugatuck-Douglas Visitors Bureau, raises funds from this event for local school scholarships and events. This year co-chairs Clare Ray and Christine Pierce announced thatTaste 26 will offer a scholarship for a student entering the hospitality and culinary industry.
The Gazebo in the park will feature live entertainment all afternoon including The Black Umbrellas and Holland's West Michigan Rock and Roll Explosion: Random Play.
