Tasha Page Lockhart was crowned winner of BET's Sunday Best gospel music competition. Lockhart will receive a national recording contract with Fo Yo Soul Entertainment, a cash prize and a 2013 Ford Fusion.
Before the winner was crowned, viewers were treated to star-studded performances as well as outstanding performances by Kefia Rollerson and Tasha Page Lockhart. The first of the back to back episodes featured an opening performance by Wess Morgan singing his single,"You Paid it All."
There were also performances by Mali Music, "Ready Aim" and The Walls Group, "Perfect People. "The audience got to hear the final two sing together as Kefia Rollerson and Tasha Page Lockhart sang an acoustic version of Kirk Franklin's "Love."Tamela Mann closed out the first hour with her powerhouse hit, "Take Me to the King."
Chaka Khan and Lecrea opened the finale with an energetic performance "It's Not Over." CeCe Winans sang "More" and Israel Houghton sang "No Turning Back" along with Aaron Lindsey. For their final performances Kefia Rollerson sang "How Great Is Our God" by Chris Tomlin. Tasha Page Lockart sang Vanessa Bell Armstrong's "You Bring Out the Best In Me."
Finally, the suspense was over and Tasha Page Lockhart was named Sunday Best winner. She closed the show singing, "United by Faith."
