Bernard Marsonek, 57, was arrested on Tuesday afternoon by officers from the Tampa Police Department and faces charges of animal cruelty, having sex with an animal, and illegal gun possession at his North Marks Street home reported myfoxtampabay.
Authorities were called to Marsonek's property by neighbors as witnesses stated they had yelled at Marsonek to cease engaging in sexual activities with his dog.
When questioned by the police and Hillsborough County Animal Services, after a search warrant was obtained, Marsonek was arrested.
Authorities discovered a gun and ammunition which is illegal to be in the possession of a convicted felon.
Animal Services removed eight pit bulls from the home.
Bond for Marsonek was set at $17,500. The investigation continues.
