'Survivor: Caramoan', Episode 3 preview: 'There's Gonna Be Hell To Pay'

It's an old Survivor question that has been around since the very first days of the show: Where do the Survivors go pee?

Brandon Hantz just may force us to learn the answer to that question in tonight's third episode of Survivor: Caramoan - Fans vs. Favorites. Not seeming to be getting his way, he has threatened to go all "Uncle Russell" on his tribe of returning players. Not that Uncle Russell ever peed in the camp rice or beans (at least, not that we know of...), like Brandon is suggesting. But things are getting 50 shades of crazy up at the Favorites camp.

Just check out the "sneak peek" clip of Phillip (to the left) for more evidence. I for one, love me some Phillip and I would be as happy as a little school girl if the former federal agent was able to ride his "BR Rules" all the way to the end once again (I know others, like my fiance for example, who would rather see Phillip gone faster than you can say "Medallion of Power.")

But things could take an interesting twist this week, if the CBS synopsis of tonight's episode is any indication:

Episode 3 - "There’s Gonna Be Hell To Pay" — ALLIANCES SHIFT AND UNREST ENSUES JUST BEFORE AN INTENSE TRIBAL COUNCIL, on "SURVIVOR: CARAMOAN – FANS VS. FAVORITES," WEDNESDAY, FEB. 27. Corinne and Malcolm’s special bond leads to a discovery that could liven up the game, and alliances shift and unrest ensues just before an intense Tribal Council, on SURVIVOR: CARAMOAN – FANS vs. FAVORITES, Wednesday, Feb. 27 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Analysis. So despite people actually getting more and more crazy, it looks as if the game itself could get a little crazy. Could Corinne and Malcolm's "special bond" be the discovery of the Immunity Idol? What other sort of "discovery" could "liven up the game?" Depending on which of them actually finds it, things could get interesting indeed.

If the Favorites do return to Tribal Council, I see little reason why Corinne or Malcolm would use their Idol, if they did in fact find one. With Brandon imploding (and potentially peeing himself right out of the game), he seems to be the easy next target. Maybe too easy? It could be time for the majority alliance to target one of the more perceived "stronger" players, like Brenda or Erik, for torch snuffing. I see little reason why someone like Phillip would be voted out at this point (sorry babe). Yes, two kinds of crazy (Phillip and Brandon) could live to see another day.

Over at the Fans camp, it will be interesting to see how the "cool kids" react to the eviction of one of their own last episode. Reynold - now with an Idol that everyone knows about - could be in danger, but if he were to play it, it's really Eddie and/or Hope who could be next in line. Look out for the "alliances shift" portion of the synopsis to possibly refer to the Fans tribe. As we saw last week at a very volatile and somewhat amateur Tribal Council, it is still so early in the game for any sort of guarantees, or for any real firm alliance to consider themselves "safe."
