Suri returned from her London visit with daddy Tom Cruise, last week and this week she is tackling her activities full throttle. It appears in most of the photographs that Suri has made a new best friend forever, skipping hand-in-hand with her blond friend, after a play-date. Fans are noticing the rare smile showing up on Suri's face as she spends time socializing. Perez Hilton had to point out the lack of shoes on the new friends feet, is this a new fashion trend or is it a photo opp? Actually watch for Suri to start wearing these 'shoes', they are absolutely adorable and appear to be slipper shoes that we saw on blogs last year. Although it is hard to get the detail from the photo so Perez maybe calling it right, no shoes for the six-year old friend.

Suri is appearing styling in photos as she wears her faux fur coat and Hello Kitty backpack bag. Sunday Suri was seen wearing both items as she went for a tennis lesson with mom Katie Holmes. Part of Katie's effort to give Katie plenty of "running and reading." Of course in some photographs it appears that mom Katie is doing most of the running to catch up with Suri.
Monday headlines include Katie dishing on her goals in raising Suri to focus on inner rather than outward beauty.
“As a mother, I’m pretty much imparting what my mother and grandmother taught me. We’ll have fun with lip gloss and all those things, and my daughter will grow up and wear it like we do, but I try not to put the focus on looks. It’s definitely more about running really fast and reading, that sort of thing.”
Kudos for Katie Holmes; it takes both effort and goals to raise kids and it sounds as if Katie has both going in full force. Suri is growing up fast and it is good to see she is making friends, learning skills and focusing on the important things in life.
