"Supernatural" is currently airing on Channel 6 in Tempe. On Wednesday, March 6, Spoilers Guide shared the photos released for "Supernatural" episode 8.17 titled "Goodbye Stranger." In the episode teased in these new photos, the fans will see the return of Castiel, who is played by Misha Collins. They will also see the return of Meg, and the race will be on to find the angel tablet. The two will help Sam and Dean try and stop Crowley from finding Lucier's crypt. The tablet is inside. However, Castiel won't tell Sam and Dean that piece of information.
In a new interview, Collins spoke about the angel tablet and the potential for trouble it has for his character. With the angel tablet, Castiel could also be locked in heaven. The actor said the following, according to Spoilers Guide:
"I absolutely think the boys would sacrifice Castiel to get rid of the angels. I think they are, not one-track minded, but goal-oriented enough to where you’ve seen them sacrifice themselves or others to try and accomplish a bigger objective … I feel like they would do it. I could be wrong, but I feel like they would do it."
However, Misha Collins has already been added back as a regular cast member for season nine. This means Sam and Dean will not be locking Castiel in heaven, or they will somehow break him back out.
