Masahiro Sakurai may have hinted at the smash attack for Link in the upcoming multiplatform video game, “Super Smash Bros. 4.” According to a report by Zelda Universe on Aug. 29, the game director recently showcased the aforementioned character performing a maneuver.
Link can be seen striking his sword, which is illuminated with a blue aura, frontward. Masahiro Sakurai posted that the main character of “The Legend of Zelda” series uses that particular attack to finish off an opponent, hinting that the maneuver may be a final or forward smash attack. Also featured in the screen is Kirby and the “Metroid: Other M” stage, which may potentially include Ridley as a stage hazard. Link has appeared in every video game in the “Super Smash Bros.” franchise. The upcoming title features his latest iteration from the Nintendo Wii video game, “The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.” As a result, he looks more colorful when compared to his previous appearance in “Super Smash Bros. Brawl.”
“Super Smash Bros. 4,” which is still in development at Sora and Namco Bandai Games, will be released by Nintendo next year for the Nintendo Wii U console and Nintendo 3DS portable system.
