Last night in Nashville,Tennessee, the 2014 Stellar Awards kicked off in grand fashion. The Stellar Awards Pre-Show was held and the awards highlighted the best in gospel music. The night's biggest winners were Tamela Mann and Bishop Hezekiah Walker. Tonight is the live awards show but at last night's pre-show, many of the weekend's big awards were handed out.

The evening was hosted by 2014 BMI Trailblazer honoree Richard Smallwood and one third of award winning R&B trio Destiny's Child, Michelle Williams.

The night wasn't complete with awards alone. Stirring performances by gospel elite brought the spirit of the Lord in! Performances by Livre, Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis, Earnest Pugh, Monica Lisa Stevenson,Anita Wilson, Beverly Crawford, Kevin Vasser, JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise, Chanel Haynes (Trinity 5:7) featuring Virtue and Kevin Lemon & Higher Calling lit the Tennessee Performing Arts Center on fire for Christ!!

Contemporary Choir of the Year Award: Earl Bynum & The Mount Unity Choir

Special Event CD of the Year: Hezekiah Walker (Azusa Next Generation)

Traditional Choir of the Year: Hezekiah Walker

Rap Hip Hop Gospel CD of the Year: Lecrae

Music Video of the Year: Brand X (Anthony Brown, Testimony)

Urban/Inspirational Single or Performance of the Year: Tamela Mann

Traditional CD of the Year: Tamela Mann

Contemporary CD of the Year: Tasha Cobb

Traditional Female Vocalist of the Year: Tamela Mann

Contemporary Female Vocalist Of The Year: Tasha Cobb

Contemporary Male Vocalist Of The Year: Anthony Brown

Contemporary Group/Duo of the Year: United Tenors (Fred Hammond, Brian Courtney Wilson, Dave Hollister & Eric Roberson)

Producer Of The Year: Fred Hammond, Derek Clark

CD of the Year Award: Tamela Mann
