St. Johns County Education Foundation and Communities in Schools of St. Johns County is proud to present the Community Empowerment Series!
The purpose of the Community Empowerment Series is to strengthen our community and enrich our parents, teachers and everyone working with our children to be safer and kinder- both online and off. This series is providing parents with how-to’s on some of the most important issues facing children today.
In light of the tragic events of Sandy Hook Elementary, it is timely that we are opening our series with the topic of stranger danger, sexual predators, and talking to our kids about private parts.
Stacey Honowitz is a leading expert in this field and has written two children's books that can help parents with this sensitive subject. Her books will be on sale at the event. You will also have an opportunity for a meet and greet after her lecture for book signings.
Date: February 2nd
Where: World Golf Village IMAX Theater
Doors open at 9:00am - Lecture will start at 10:00 and will end at approximately 12:00pm followed by the meet and greet book signing.
