Since going free-to-play, BioWare and "Star Wars: The Old Republic" are not slowing down. The developer announced the game's first expansion today via Twitter and Facebook. Not to mention, pre-orders are already available for the "Rise of the Hutt Cartel" expansion.
Pre-ordering comes with benefits, of course. Picking up the expansion before Jan. 7, 2013 at 11:59 pm CST grants the player five days of early access to it. It will set a non-subscribed player back $19.99, but subscribers will pay only $9.99.
For that price, "Rise of the Hutt Cartel" will increase the level cap to 55. Lovers of the story in the game will be happy to know that this level cap includes new story-driven missions. Also, these missions will be fully voiced like the rest of the game extending the saga in a truly cinematic form.
New abilities, skill points, gear, and more are also included. Players will also get a chance to explore Makeb; a new planet that the Republic and the Empire struggle to control.
"Rise of the Hutt Cartel" is scheduled to release Spring 2013. For more information, check out the FAQ for the expansion.
