While folks at Fall New York Fashion Week brave the polar vortex, the staff at Neiman Marcus Las Vegas are busy welcoming spring fashion. On Feb.11 the store held a preview of spring 2014 clothing and accessories arriving in store. Here is quick snippet of the trends to focus on for Spring 2014.
Clothes and accessories in all shades of pinks are big for spring. From soft, pale pink to rich rose, you’ll find tons of handbags and statement necklaces in pink. Look for all types of fabrics and textures such as a pink leather shell by Vince. Pink will also be the go-to color for lips this season.
A big trend in handbags this spring the bag that can serve as both a handbag and a backpack. Many designs have a top handle, making them look like a deep bucket bag when not in backpack mode. The Cynnie Leather Drawstring Backpack by Elizabeth and James comes in several colors and starts at $545.
Denim on Denim
Look for lots of choices in denim this season. From tops to bottoms, white jeans to distressed, denim will be prominent in all shades and styles. Laveer pairs military with denim in a structured faded denim military jacket, $265.
White on Black
Do you love a monochromatic look? Spring includes tons of white fashion pieces with accents of black. Chic chevron shoes, bold white and black striped bags and print dresses are just some of the black and whites of spring. Prada created this artful pair of sunglasses featuring black frames with white arms.
Cutouts and skinny sandals
Spring footwear will include lots of skinny sandals and booties, many with intricate laser cut designs. Pink, black, white and neon canary yellow will feature prominently along with creative prints and hardware looks. Valentino’s Rockstud heels are a carryover from fall, available in a lower hell and an espadrille version.
