The new and highly anticipated SLS Las Vegas Hotel and Casino began taking reservations and unveiled its new website today according to an April 8 property press release. Reservations for rooms at SLS begin today for stays starting August 25, 2014. This new Strip property is the result of renovations to the old iconic Sahara that began in June 2011, with Labor Day weekend 2014 surrounding the grand opening.

SBE Entertainment, owners of the SLS, have claimed the property will generate 8600 new jobs and add over $400 million to the local economy. The hotel features 1600 guest rooms and an array of enticing shopping, nightlife, and dining options. The property boasts nearly 30,000 sq. ft. of convention space and more than 60,000 sq. ft. in their casino that features over 800 slots, a race and sports book, 70 table games, and 4 al fresco table games poolside. The players club at SLS is called THE CODE.

LIFE, the new nightlife venue situated around the property's rooftop pool, will also debut over Labor Day weekend. Dining options at the property will include venues such as Bazaar Meat, Katsuya, Cleo, Umami Burger, 800 Degrees, Griddle Cafe, SLS Buffet, and The Perq.

Hotel rates on opening nights (August 25 & 26, 2014) for a standard single King room are listed at $149 on lower floors ($159 higher floors). The hotel will offer rates of $109 on weekdays and $139 on weekends for two-night minimum stays beginning on September 1 through December 27 according to the press release info.
