Shows to see this week: May 13-18, 2013

Local festivals are all over the metro area this weekend. Fort Worth Music Festival, Wildflower! Festival in Richardson, and Taste Addison will all be presenting musical acts this weekend. Though all of the festivals lean towards country music, Fort Worth Music Festival surprisingly has Galactic and The Walkmen as headliners Saturday night, and the Toadies will be at Wildflower! Festival.

Others concerts to not miss this week are non-scary band Spooky Folk on Monday at Dan’s Silverleaf, whose self-titled album is catchy and beautifully arranged. This will be their farewell show "for a while," as explained on the group's Facebook page.

The Smashing Pumpkins make a stop in Dallas at Palladium Ballroom on Tuesday night. Though Oceania was only released last year, there is another album in the works for this winter, so perhaps Billy Corgan & Co. will be previewing the album.
