In Bosnia the story of Vucko, a once beautiful German Shepherd Dog who was the victim of a heinous act of cruelty has been circulating. Source.
On November 11th in Sarajevo, two drunken teenagers duct taped a firecracker inside of Vucko's mouth and lit it, blowing off most of his face. But the cruelty didn't end there, because they simply walked away and left him there to suffer.
For 5 long days, Vucko was lost, alone and in agony in the streets of Sarajevo, suffering from maggots that infested the gaping wounds on what once was his face. It's incomprehensible the amount of pain he must have been in.
Once he was finally taken in by authorities, the doctors decided the only kind thing to do was to euthanize him to stop his suffering.
There are 2 petitions for Vucko, both of which are linked below. Both are important and both need support. They are linked at the end of the article.
The petition asks the Bosnian government to draft stronger animal cruelty laws, to try to deter others in the future from doing such horrendous things to innocent animals. At present, the laws in Bosnia simply aren't enough to protect these innocent beings, and something most definitely needs to change.
Advocates need to show the world that atrocities such as this won't simply be seen and then forgotten. Vucko never harmed anyone and his cruel death must not be in vain. He deserves that much from the compassionate people on this earth.

There simply are no words that can adequately convey the outrage that a story such as Vucko's brings. But we must channel that anger and outrage in the proper ways, and do our very best to get justice for him and stricter laws put into place. Vucko deserves at least that much from humans.
Please consider adding your signature to both critical petitions, and to share them with others as well. Advocates everywhere need to raise their voices and tell the world that this kind of heinous and heartless cruelty will not go unpunished.
