A security guard trampled Friday night in Miami suffered head trauma and a broken leg. The incident happened at Miami's Ultra Music Festival Friday night. Local10.com reported March 29 that a huge crowd of people stormed the fence, crushed down the gate, and trampled over 28-year-old Erica Mack.
Mack was rushed to Ryder Trauma Center following the event. Authorities said she's in critical but stable condition.
The security guard trampled got stuck under the gate after a herd of people pushed it over. 22 people were arrested, according to Miami police. It was the first day of Ultra Fest. The report added that event organizers sent their sentiments and wishes for a quick recovery to Mack, who works for Contemporary Services Corporation.
It's never a good thing when someone is injured due to an unruly crowd. For whatever reason a mob mentality takes over and people throw caution to the wind. Fortunately, the security guard trampled in this instance is likely to make a full recovery.
