According to a Sept. 7 report from NBC News, two men were arrested on Monday night after one of the two was discovered to have “scaled a fence to gain entry to the palace grounds.”
The man that scaled the fence was arrested and charged with burglary, trespass, and criminal damage.
The second man was arrested outside of the palace grounds and charged with suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary.
"No members of the royal family were at Buckingham Palace at the time of the incident," the police spokesman said.
"A review of the specific circumstances of this incident is being carried out."
Queen Elizabeth usually resides at Balmoral Castle in Scotland during August and September.
Both of the two suspected Buckingham Palace burglars were released on bail by the British police.
